1. Verification & Matching Responsibility: Indian Marriage Bureau is responsible only for providing REAL and VERIFIED rishta proposals that match the criteria and preferences agreed upon with the client BEFORE any fee is paid.

2. Sole Decision of the Client & Family: The decision to marry or not to marry is entirely and solely the client's and their family's decision. Indian Marriage Bureau does not guarantee marriage and is not responsible for the outcome of any proposal, meeting, or relationship.

At Indian Marriage Bureau ("we", "our", or "us"), we hold your privacy and personal dignity in the highest regard. We recognize that matrimonial data, family background details, photographs, and personal values require sensitive handling. This Privacy Policy details what information we collect, how it is used strictly for personalized matrimonial introductions, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you when you submit our online registration form (powered securely by Jotform) or communicate with our matchmakers via WhatsApp. This may include:

  • Candidate Identification: Full name, age, date of birth, gender, marital status (single, divorced, widowed).
  • Geographical & Immigration Details: Current country of residence (USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia, India, etc.), city, citizenship, visa status, or permanent residency.
  • Educational & Professional Credentials: Degrees, universities attended, profession, employer industry, job title, and career goals.
  • Cultural & Traditional Preferences: Cultural affiliations, community preferences, mother tongue, family origin in India, gotra/sub-community preferences (if indicated by client).
  • Partner Preferences: Desired age range, height, qualification requirements, relocation flexibility, and family expectations.
  • Family References & Contact: Parent/guardian names, contact telephone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, email addresses, and character references for manual verification.
  • Photographs: Recent personal photographs provided voluntarily for identification and confidential sharing with potential matches.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly and exclusively for personalized matrimonial services. Specifically, we use your data to:

  • Evaluate candidate suitability against requested criteria.
  • Manually verify credentials, references, and background honesty.
  • Communicate with you and your family regarding matching rishta proposals.
  • Coordinate mutual introductions only when both parties express genuine interest.
  • Maintain internal client records during the duration of your matrimonial search.

We do not sell, rent, commercialize, or trade your personal data with advertising agencies, data brokers, or marketing networks under any circumstances.

4. Controlled Profile Sharing with Consent

Unlike public dating applications, Indian Marriage Bureau does not maintain a public online photo catalog or searchable database. Your profile is handled with utmost discretion:

  • Candidate biodatas are shared on an individual basis directly with screened, compatible candidates and their parents.
  • Photographs are shared only after initial mutual interest is established and with your explicit consent.
  • Clients are strictly advised not to circulate, screenshot, or distribute candidate biodatas outside of their immediate decision-making family members.

5. Data Security & Storage

We implement industry-standard organizational and technical security measures to safeguard your personal records against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Registrations submitted via our embedded Jotform are encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS protocols. Profile archives and communications are restricted strictly to authorized senior matchmaking personnel.

6. Data Retention & Your Right to Deletion

We retain your registration records only for the duration necessary to provide matrimonial matchmaking services or until you notify us that you have successfully concluded your search.

You have the right at any time to:

  • Request a copy of the details we hold regarding your profile.
  • Request corrections or updates to your criteria or contact details.
  • Request complete deletion and purging of your profile, photographs, and records from our active database.
