Fundamental Scope & Liability Clarifications

1. Verification & Matching Responsibility: Indian Marriage Bureau is responsible only for providing REAL and VERIFIED rishta proposals that match the criteria and preferences agreed upon with the client BEFORE any fee is paid.

2. Sole Decision of the Client & Family: The decision to marry or not to marry is entirely and solely the client's and their family's decision. Indian Marriage Bureau does not guarantee marriage and is not responsible for the outcome of any proposal, meeting, or relationship.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Indian Marriage Bureau. By submitting a registration form, communicating with our matchmaking team via WhatsApp or telephone, or engaging our matrimonial consulting services, you and your family agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not utilize our services.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To register or utilize our services, candidates and their representing guardians must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of marriage in your jurisdiction of residence).
  • You must be legally free and capable of entering into a lawful civil and traditional marriage contract (single, widowed, or possessing final legal divorce documentation).
  • You must be seeking an honorable matrimonial union in accordance with cultural traditions, Hindu values, and respectful family norms.

3. Requirement for Accurate & Honest Information

Honesty is the foundation of blessed marriage. By submitting details to Indian Marriage Bureau, you warrant that:

  • All personal details, educational qualifications, job titles, marital status, immigration statuses, and photographs provided are complete, accurate, and current.
  • You will immediately notify our matchmakers if your marital status changes or if any significant detail provided becomes outdated.
  • Any intentional misrepresentation, forged credential, or concealed marital status will result in immediate termination of service with zero refund.

4. Fee Structure Agreed in Advance

We operate with complete financial transparency:

  • All matchmaking consultation fees and package terms are clearly explained and mutually agreed upon with the client or their family before any payment is accepted.
  • Our fees cover the labor, manual background checking, verification efforts, and personalized presentation of proposals that conform to agreed criteria.
  • Because matchmaking requires immediate and sustained professional advisory labor, fees paid for agreed services are non-refundable once proposal curation begins.

5. Scope of Verification & Due Diligence

Indian Marriage Bureau conducts diligent reference checks to ensure that candidates are authentic individuals representing their true identity, education, and career. However:

  • Our verification relies on documents submitted by candidates, personal interviews, and references provided by families.
  • Clients and their families are strongly advised and expected to conduct their own customary family due diligence, astrological/kundali matching (if customary), and personal background inquiries prior to finalizing any wedding engagement or shaadi / vivah.

6. Limitation of Liability & No Guarantee of Marriage

Indian Marriage Bureau acts strictly as a private facilitator of introductions between consenting families and singles. Under no circumstances shall Indian Marriage Bureau, its consultants, or affiliates be liable for:

  • Any decision by either party to decline, reject, or discontinue communication after an introduction.
  • The personal conduct, character developments, or actions of any introduced individual or family during meetings or after marriage.
  • Any emotional, psychological, or financial damages arising out of personal relationships, broken engagements, or subsequent marital disputes.

The decision to enter into marriage remains solely and exclusively the decision of the client and their family.

7. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

Indian Marriage Bureau reserves the absolute right to refuse service or terminate representation of any individual who:

  • Demonstrates abusive, derogatory, or disrespectful behavior toward our staff, other families, or candidates.
  • Attempts to misuse candidate biodatas or photographs for unauthorized circulation.
  • Provides fraudulent credentials or conceals an existing marriage.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our matchmaking services after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
